Jaguar E-PACE compact SUV, priced from under $50,000
Following on from Jaguar’s success with the F-PACE, Jaguar will reveal its new E-PACE “compact performance” SUV on July 13. Jaguar has indicated that the E-PACE will priced from under $50,000 plus on-road costs.
The new E-PACE SUV will join Jaguar’s PACE family, with the all-electric I-PACE also set to go into production in 2018.
The Jaguar E-PACE will feature “sports car-derived AWD” technology and will offer an all-Ingenium line-up of petrol and diesel engines. Information on the E-PACE is still quite thin, however it is expected to come standard with a “suite of connected technology and safety features”.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, said:
“The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-PACE stands out. Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we think E-PACE will do just that, albeit with its own individual character.”
Jaguar says the E-PACE will combine sports car design and agility with everyday SUV practicality. With the number of SUVs being bought in Australia every month (39,629 in May) the E-PACE will be sure to find quite a few owners.
