Honda Australia announces new five-year unlimited km warranty

Honda Australia has announced a new five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty across the range on all new and selected demonstrator vehicles sold from July 1.

The five-year warranty applies to the entire Honda range, which includes every model from the Honda Jazz right through to the all-new high-performance Honda Civic Type R.

The new five-year unlimited kilometre warranty does not affect other Honda factory backed warranties; existing six-year rust perforation warranty and three-year paint warranty carry over.

Honda’s new warranty program replaces the company’s previous three-year 100,000km warranty. Honda now joins a range of manufacturers who have decided to lift their warranty periods as a way to increase consumer confidence.

Honda Australia director, Mr. Stephen Collins, said:

“Honda has an envied reputation for quality and reliability, the depth of engineering inherent in our vehicles is something our customers can trust. So we’re taking things a big step further with this five-year warranty announcement.

“Given the quality of Honda vehicles they can sometimes be perceived as more expensive, when this is simply not the case. We encourage new car buyers to take a look at our pricing, our ownership costs and our new five-year warranty against the competition. Honda is very competitive.”

Honda vehicles used for commercial purposes will receive a five-year, 140,000km warranty.
