Wide rear doors makes access to the third row easy, with the doors capable of opening 80-degrees from the body. Cabin storage is a generous 209-litres when all three rows are in use, which increases to 742-litres when the third row is down and 1727-litres when the second row is laid flat.

The CX-8 comes with Mazda’s range of i-ACTIVESENSE safety features as standard. Some of these features include blind spot monitoring, high beam control, lane-keep assist, and radar-guided cruise control. The Asaki model adds a 360-degree view monitor, front parking sensors, adaptive LED headlamps, and advanced keyless entry.

The interior of the CX-8 introduces a new colour pallet, with deep red tones introduced through sumptuous Dark Russet nappa leather on the Asaki, while Sport offers black cloth with the same dark red hues weaved into the material. The Asaki model is also available with Pure White nappa leather and real wood trim.

Other features exclusive to the Asaki include rear-door window blinds, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, and a also a Mazda first, an integrated heated steering wheel.
