2019 Ford Everest to be priced from $49,190, available September

Ford Australia has today announced specs and pricing for the upcoming 2019 Ford Everest. The new model will come available with a new twin-turbo engine, fresh styling, and added safety systems.

In terms of styling the new 2019 Ford Everest receives new headlights, a new front grille design, a new front bumper bar, LED taillights, as well as some fresh alloy wheel designs.

The same 147kW and 470Nm 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbo-diesel is carried over from the previous model, and there’s also the choice of a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel that punches out 157kW and 500Nm. The 3.2-litre model retains the six-speed automatic from the previous model, while the new 2.0-litre motor will come exclusively with a new 10-speed automatic transmission.

Ford will have three models on offer for buyers, with the Ambiente sitting as the entry model, which will come available in RWD and 4WD, then there’s the Trend, which sits as the middle model and also comes available in either RWD and 4WD, then there’s the 4WD-only top spec Titanium model, which comes exclusively with the new 2.0-litre twin-turbo unit.

All models come with an 8.0-inch touch-screen unit with SYNC 3 infotainment, satellite navigation, a 230V inverter, three 12V power sockets, and a 10-speaker sound system.

Standard safety equipment on the Trend model includes a rear-view camera, as well as rear parking sensors. The Trend strengthens safety even further with autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, and HID headlights. Buyers of the top spec Titanium gain blind-spot warning with cross-traffic alert, as well as a handy tyre pressure monitoring system.

The new model arrives in Australian showrooms this September, with the 2019 Ford Ranger and new 2019 Ranger Raptor landing in the same month.
