Kay Hart announced as CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand

Ford Australia has announced that Graeme Whickman has been replaced as president and CEO by Kay Hart, effective as of today. The change for Whickman ends his two-decade association with Ford.

Most recently, Hart worked as the global BEV manager, distribution and digital experience, in Team Edison, which works to implement new holistic customer-focused BEV services and ownership experiences. During this time, Hart was tasked with helping to transform Ford’s future customer experience.

Hart also worked on FordPass, which is an app that is aimed at helping consumers get the most out of their vehicle ownership experience, as well as working as the managing director for Ford Philippines from 2013 to 2015 where she worked on introducing new vehicle models as well as the expansion of the Ford dealer network in the country.

Hart originally started her career in the marketing team at Ford New Zealand in 1998. Kay Hart, president and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand, said:

“I am excited to come back to Asia Pacific and work with such a strong and accomplished Ford Australia and New Zealand team. I’m looking forward to working with our dealers and team to continue the great progress that has been made in the consumer experience and helping accelerate growth across the business.”

In her new role, Hart will be responsible for marketing, sales and service, dealer relations, customer satisfaction and sales performance in both Australia and New Zealand. Departing president and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand, Graeme Whickman, said:

“I know I leave a much stronger Ford Australia and New Zealand than only a few years ago, a company that has a strong and vibrant future. The industry is undergoing rapid change, and I have confidence the local leadership teams have the right plans in place to be successful. They will continue to be held up in the Global Ford world as great examples of what happens when good focused strategies are supported by committed and skillful employees and dealers.”
